CLASSI offers Terr-Aqua Enviro Systems, Inc.'s (TAES's) UV-Oxidation / Bioremediation Process. Over 300,000 CFM of foul air treatment capacity has been installed over the last 12 years and the TAES control system has been designated as Best Available Control Technology (BACT) for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) and Reactive Organic Compunds (ROC's).
In an article published in the March 2000 Water Environment & Technology journal, a comparative economic study with conventional chemical scrubbers treating H2S and other sewer gases at the headworks of a municipal WWTP showed the TAES process to require much lower operating costs with similar capital cost requirements.
