Craft Machine Works, Inc.ted gates are available in steel, aluminum, stainless steel or in special alloys. Fabricated sluice gates are usually selected when stainless steel is desired or when dimensions or pressure is exceed the limits of cast iron and when steel construction is indicated.
Slide gates are normally used on non-submerged openings or open channels. Designs are available for aluminum, stainless steel, steel and wood. Mounting is to the face of the wall, to the channel wall or imbedded for both slide weir type applications. These gates are generally self-contained with the operator mounted on the yoke.
Stop gates are generally hand-operated and are fabricated from aluminum to keep them light but occasionally stainless steel is selected. Designs are available for wall and channel mounting as with the slide gates.
