FLOODEX® Floodvents

The Floodex Modular Flood Vent System was developed in direct response to these recent FEMA/NFIP/BOCA and major building code mandates for a method to automatically, that is, without any power source or human intervention, equalize hydrostatic pressure of floodwaters against both sides of foundation walls. This is accomplished by providing for the automatic and bi-directional flow of floodwaters into and out of enclosed foundation, crawlspace or slab areas.

While enabling floodwaters to enter and exit such enclosed foundation spaces, foundation flood openings or flood vents can substantially reduce the threat of many flood hazards before the fact by helping to prevent foundation failure. Hazards include the possible injury to or loss of human life, damage to or total loss of dwellings, businesses, public health issues, and long-term environmental and infrastructure damage.
