Bilco Companygned J-AL horizontal access door, available in single or double leaf design, is well-suited to provide access to areas located underground or beneath/between floors including water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, commercial and institutional buildings, public utilities, as well as transportation and correctional facilities.
Special anti-corrosion features include forged aluminum hinges, a 5086 aluminum cover plate, electrostatically-coated compression springs, and advanced composite spring housing assemblies. The channel frame features a patented new anchoring system. This system allows the door to be easily installed in both new and retrofit applications. The newly designed 70-durometer EPDM debris gasket limits dirt and debris from entering the channel frame. This feature, along with the drain coupling fully welded under the frame, facilitates effective drainage.
