ICT Announces Idencia Project With MassDOT

Idencia will be used to collect information in Boston bridge rehab project.

(PRWEB) - International Coding Technologies, Inc. (ICT) announced today that its Idencia information tracking service for infrastructure will be used by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to track information about precast deck panels manufactured for the rehabilitation of the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge in Boston.

The precast concrete manufacturer supplying deck panels for the project will embed Idencia’s patented Cast-A-Code® RFID tags in the panels during manufacture. The tags will be scanned to record information about the panels for use by the Materials & Research Division of MassDOT. Because Idencia is a cloud-hosted system, MassDOT will have real-time access to the information as it is collected at the manufacturing plant.

Jeff Pollock, CEO of ICT elaborated: “Idencia is a powerful tool for DOTs to do more with fewer resources, as they all have to do these days. MassDOT joins the North Carolina Department of Transportation in recognizing that using Idencia can collect more project information with fewer people involved.”

Among other applications, MassDOT will use Idencia to establish the concrete batch source for every panel that is used in the project.
