Hayward Industrial Products, Inc.DP automatic self-cleaning strainer features a backwashing design allowing it to function in piping systems where the system pressure is below 20 psi. This system protects system components in low pressure applications by straining out and removing potentially damaging particulate matter from the process media. The strainer operates continuously and automatically. An external flushing arm rotates synchronously with the backwash arm directing a flow of liquid through the straining element to dislodge trapped debris. The automatic control system senses when the strainer elements needs cleaing, and maintains a continuous flow throughout the cleaning cycle.
This product is available in pipeline sizes from six to 24 in. in iron, carbon steel and stainless steel with flanged ANSI pipe connections. It incorporates a unitized design with the motor and all internal operating mechanisms being contained in a single unit.
