Medical trials equipment supply company expands US presence at new location

The firm moved into its new quarters from its Wauchula, Florida, location the end of April. MESM, which first established its U.S. presence in Sebring, Florida in 2013, has signed a long term lease at the Lakeland site.

MESM Co-founder and Managing Director David Maughan, said the company chose the Ruthvens site for its excellent transportation links, its centralized location between Tampa and Orlando, and the flexibility to build and develop additional space as the business expands.

The firm, founded in 2007, has experienced significant growth since its inception, with gains of 50 to 100% each year, according to Mr. Maughan. This has required an accelerated expansion plan to meet demand. In addition to the Lakeland facility, MESM has two facilities in the U.K. and plans to expand into South America, China and Japan in the very near future.

The Ruthven West Lakeland Industrial Park provides flexible space that may be used for offices, showrooms and warehousing, which can be leased in multiples of 5,600 square feet. The property provides extra trailer parking and ample employee and customer parking, 10-feet-by-10-feet overhead doors into the space and 24 feet of clear height. The industrial park is conveniently located only minutes from the Interstate 4 interchange and Highways 92 and 570 (Polk Parkway).
