Peripheral Feed Clarifiers

Hi-Tech Environmental, Inc.aper, suction lift, and tapered header clarifiers are available as peripheral feed clarifiers. Basins can be designed to use an influent skirt or a tapered influent channel with orifices to direct the flow downward into the tank at a low velocity. This reduces the downward velocity of the influent. Flow is then toward the tank center and upward. The unit is designed to reduce the chance of short-circuiting.
