Prefabricated Vertical Drain

Colbond Geosyntheticsle feature of the company's prefabricated vertical drain lies in providing short and permeable drainage paths for the dissipation of excess porewater pressure. This is said to allow 90% consolidation in a period of months. The drain consists of a nonwoven polyester filter jacket and a 3-D open core of thick polyester monofilaments fused at the point of intersection. The space within the core structure is interconnected for efficient water discharge. The ultrasonic welding of the filter to the core is designed to ensure the filter is kept tight across the core to keep loose filter material from being pushed into the core structure and reducing the flow capacity.
