Duke's Sales & Service, Inc.e offers foam root control for municipalities. Foam is pumped through a discharge hose, completely filling the main line from manhole to manhole. Foam is compressed against all pipe surfaces, into cracks and joints, and forced up connecting sewers for maximum contact of all roots.
Plant or tree roots stop growing and die upon contact with the foam. Trees are not harmed. By-pass pumping and cleaning prior to treatment is generally not required. Sewer service is never interrupted. Dead roots decay naturally and slough off. Growth inhibitors prevent root re-growth for 3-5 years.
