The Stormceptor System is most commonly used as a stand-alone treatment device in highly urbanized areas, where surface area is limited. However, many applications require a treatment-train approach, utilizing various Best Management Practices (BMPs) to treat storm water runoff.
Stormceptor is ideal for pretreatment of conventional BMPs such as ponds, infiltration systems and wetlands - improving the aesthetics and effectiveness of these downstream facilities. In addition Stormceptor is proven effective at removing over 98% of free oil from storm water runoff and is an excellent spill control device. By installing a Stormceptor upstream of conventional BMPs, you prevent total petroleum hydrocarbons from contaminated downstream BMPs.
Stormceptor has been employed as part of a treatment train for:
- Residential Areas
- Wet/Dry Retention Ponds
- Infiltration Systems
- Wetlands
