Bandit Industries, Inc.turer's 12-in. and 18-in.-dia. capacity hand-fed tree and brush chippers are now equipped with a new spring feed wheel tensioning system. The system applies zero pressure at the pinch point, allowing the wheels to easily climb larger pieces of material being fed into the chipper. Once the feed wheels open to approximately 6 in., pressure is applied to the material. As the wheels open further, additional pressure is applied, increasing the system's ability to crush and compress limbs and branches. The system also limits movement inside the infeed hopper, making it easier for the operator to feed the machine.
