AUSTIN, TEXAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Accruent, the world’s leading provider of real estate, facilities and asset management software, has been awarded a contract by the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) as the exclusive vendor qualified for facilities and asset management information systems.
Over 90,000 agencies in the United States are eligible to utilize NCPA’s cooperative purchasing contracts, including school districts, higher education and the public sector. The use of a purchasing cooperative eliminates the need for public agencies to administer a solicitation on their own. Public agencies can take advantage of aggregated/volume purchasing, which equalizes purchasing power, especially for smaller entities.
“Our members have confidence in NCPA’s ability to conduct a thorough evaluation of all our approved vendors,” said Jon Symko, Facilities Solutions Contract Consultant & Compliance Officer, NCPA. “Through NCPA’s competitive solicitation process, this evaluation ensures our members gain the most value from the purchase of products and services.”
To establish these contracts, NCPA works with a Lead Public Agency, to complete a bid process that results in a competitively bid contract. Vendors submit sealed responses that are recorded and publicly opened. The Lead Public Agency evaluates the responses based on identified evaluation criteria and awards the contracts, based on quality, performance, and pricing. These competitive solicitations include language that allows the contract to be used by other public agencies in all 50 states at no cost.
Accruent has over 600 customers in education and the public sector managing more than 2.7 billion square feet in its software. In fact, Accruent has seen double-digit growth year-over-year in the square footage managed by these customers. Cooperatives such as the NCPA can help streamline procurement and cut the costs for Accruent software and services.
“The award of this contract by the NCPA means that public agencies have another tool at their fingertips,” said John Borgerding, CEO of Accruent. “In an era of reduced budgets, this contract helps prospective customers in education and the public sector save time and money.”
