APWA CONGRESS: Vacuum Leaf Loader

Tarrant Manufacturing. Co., Inc.AC model TTL-4 RH-SS leaf machine with rotated housing and suction shroud is designed for packed, wet leaf collection. The suction housing is available in either 45° or 90° discharge angles. The outer scroll is constructed of 10-gauge steel and furnished with 1/4-in. thick AR steel slip-in replaceable liners. The front cover plate and back wall are constructed of 7-gauge steel. A clean-out door is provided in the suction housing with a safety engine shutdown switch.

The 45° rotated housing is constructed of 10-gauge steel and is rectangular in shape. The discharge is mounted in the center of the trailer for efficient loading. A 16-in.-dia. Flexible rubber hose with a smooth interior and an 18-in. cuff connects the leaf machine to a leaf receiver box. The 90• discharge assembly is constructed of 12-gauge steel and is cylindrical in shape. The discharge is mounted in the center of the trailer for efficient loading. A 17-in.-dia. Steel tube with a flex joint connects the machine to a receiver box.

All engine controls are rubber mounted on a remote pedestal located at the operator's station. Standard controls include tachometer, hour meter, ammeter, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge and low oil pressure/high temperature engine safety shutdowns.
