Bentley Systems, Incorporated, the leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for the infrastructure that sustains our world, recently announced that it is collaborating with ARC Advisory Group (ARC), the leading research and advisory firm for industry and infrastructure, in the production and presentation of a complimentary four-part series of live eSeminars. Each one-hour eSeminar will discuss innovative IT strategies, industry best practices, and Bentley software for leveraging information modeling, both for integrated projects and the operations of high-performing, intelligent infrastructure assets. Registration for the first eSeminar, taking place Nov. 17, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. EST, is now open at www.bentley.com/ARCeSeminar1. Additionally, Bentley is making available four ARC Strategies Reports that discuss information management strategies for Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM). They can be downloaded for no charge at www.bentley.com/ARCreports.

"ARC is delighted to partner with Bentley to develop this information-rich series of eSeminars," said Andy Chatha, president and founder, ARC Advisory Group. "Bentley has information modeling expertise, in-depth knowledge of the infrastructure lifecycle, and a broad portfolio of products that demonstrate its commitment to interoperability, dynamic collaboration, and sustaining infrastructure. This puts the company in a unique position to help organizations achieve strategic advantage by improving their infrastructure asset operations with asset lifecycle information management software."

Each eSeminar will feature a presentation by one of ARC's expert analysts, who will present the firm's research findings, recommended information management strategies for asset lifecycle management, and the associated business benefits of successfully implementing these strategies. In addition, a Bentley executive will discuss the features, advantages, and benefits of Bentley's AssetWise operations information modeling platform for delivering lifecycle information management to operators of infrastructure assets. The platform includes a suite of interoperable applications and online services to improve the management and operational performance, safety, and compliance of infrastructure assets.

Anne-Marie Walters, Bentley global marketing director, said, "This highly informative eSeminar series steps attendees through the process of developing and implementing ALIM strategies that can increase the useful life and financial return on infrastructure assets, lower operational costs, and minimize business risk associated with regulatory compliance – all while operating these assets safely. ARC's excellent reports provide the blueprint for success, and Bentley's AssetWise platform provides the innovative technology and services required to help achieve it. Without question, this is an important eSeminar series for every information management professional responsible for improving the performance of intelligent infrastructure assets, including CIOs, corporate directors of IT, directors of operations, heads of asset information management, asset strategy managers, and knowledge management leaders, to name only a few."

Topics addressed in the first of these live eSeminars, titled "Information Management Strategies for Asset Lifecycle Management," include:

  • avoiding poor asset information management practices that adversely affect the cost (CAPEX and OPEX) of infrastructure operations;
  • understanding the different information needs across the lifecycle of infrastructure assets;
  • achieving compelling value from infrastructure asset information management;
  • delivering trustworthy operation information using information modeling, relationships, and change management;
  • deploying Bentley's AssetWise platform for effective ALIM.
