Blinkerstop LED Stop Sign

TAPCO introduces Blinkerstop, a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Traffic Sign with enhanced visibility. The patented* 1" O.D. LED unit can work entirely on solar power or other conventional AC/DC power sources. By utilizing red LEDs on each of the eight corners of a stop sign, drivers and other persons are able to see the unit in a highly conspicuous manner during the day and especially at night.

The visibility gives motorists a far greater amount of time to react to the sign, and will allow even impaired drivers to respond adequately. Conventional high-intensity reflective sheeting is visible for up to about one-half mile, but with the flashing LEDs, this distance increase to up to two miles or more. The deep red color of the flashing LED also has a psychophysical effect on drivers, causing much improved response times, even for impaired drivers. It all adds up to safer roads for everyone, something we can all live with.
