TRANSMAP creates sub-meter, 3-dimensional road centerline networks that serve as the land base for our customers' GIS
A fundamental requirement in establishing a GIS is a consistent digital base map. TRANSMAP addresses this need by creating sub-meter, 3-dimensional road centerline networks that serve as the land base for our customers' GIS. Included in the road centerline base map is a linear referencing system (mileposts) and links to the digital images collected by our ON-SIGHT vehicles.
TRANSMAP also supports the integration of existing databases with current infrastructure-related information, allowing for the creation of accurate and easily maintained field inventories for utilities and transportation agencies.
Our road centerline base maps can also include optional data sets such as:
- Street/road name/route number tables
- Street segmentation or intersection tables
- Address overlays- addresses along postal carrier routes using information available from the US Postal Service
- TIGER information- includes attributes of the TIGER files provided by the US Census Bureau
