With the Bello Zon process from ProMinent, chlorine dioxide can be produced from hydrochloric acid and sodium chlorite. The quantity of chlorine dioxide produced can be adapted according to requirements by adjusting the frequency of the solenoid-dosing pump. This can be controlled manually or automatically by connecting a water gauge or regulator.

The solenoid dosing pumps pump the chemicals into a reactor where they combine to form a solution of chlorine dioxide. The concentrate from the reactor is diluted when it passes through a bypass pipe. It flows continuously into the flow of the water which is to be treated.
