International Erosion Control Systems, LLCof pyramid-shaped concrete blocks interwoven with stainless steel cable underlaid with a geotextile fabric, the Cable Concrete block mat system provides a durable erosion control system that permits water permeability, vegetation, contour flexibility, subsoil confinement and long-term erosion control. The mats conform to existing ground contours, which minimizes site preparation. The cables enable the system to be a temporary erosion control solution, but can be removed and lifted to another location. Other benefits include a resistance to ice damage and freeze/thaw, and safe pedestrian access.
Applications for this system include boat ramps, access roads, fire lanes, low water crossings, bridge pier protection, stormwater pipe and box culvert outlets, dike and dam overflow protection, landfill drainage systems and lakeshore protection.
