ALDRUM is a drum thickener designed to gently handle sludge while giving high recovery. The tickener can be used for just about every type of sludge. It helps increase sludge pumped to the digester to 5% DS, which could double the digester residence. It thickens activated sludge from less than 1% to 4-5%.
ALDRUM works well with both municipal and industrial sludges. Municipal sewage treatment plants use the thickener to increase the capacity of both aerobic and anaerobic digesters, as well as processes requiring a concentrated liquid product. It is used in all types of industries where sludge is a waste product.
