GBA Street Master provides a powerful pavement inventory database that is capable of forecasting future maintenance needs. The program includes fields for pavement characteristics, sidewalks, driveways, curbs and gutters, pavement distresses and construction histories along with other related information. GBA Street Master consists of several modules that allow the input, review and user definability of inventory and inspection data.

The GBA Street Master and GBA Work Master programs are integrated in two ways. First, a work order is created for a specific street/pavement item (or group of like items). Pertinent information for the item is automatically brought into the work order record from the appropriate Pavement Manager module. For a street segment, this information includes segment name, end node numbers, length, width, PCI, surface type, and classification. Second, any updates to the item's information determined to be necessary from observations/modifications made during completion of the work can be automatically made directly from the work order record.

Horizontal coordinate data for each street item, used by the GBA GIS Master program to define the system's mapping, are stored in the network modules of the GBA Street Master program. These items, along with their pertinent information, can then be viewed graphically through GBA GIS Master at their defined locations. Inspection and analyses results from GBA Street Master can also be viewed graphically through GBA GIS Master.

The integration of GBA Street Master with GBA GIS Master enhances the user's ability to detect trends in system deterioration, locate structures, view accident information at selected intersections, or map inspection routes for work crews. The combination of these two programs provides the foundation of a well-managed system.

Pavement and Road Management
The GBA Street Master pavement components enable you to inventory and inspect roadway pavements, curbs, sidewalks and structures. The system network you define provides you with a consistent and organized database of all your pavement-related attributes.

The Segment Network Module
The Segment Network module contains the storage point for defining your street segments. Common street segment data such as names, lengths, classifications and ADT volumes are stored here. The program also allows you to break your street segments into sub-segments. This functionality allows you to classify your segments more accurately. We have also added new tools that validate all street spellings against your master street name and segment listings.

The Intersection Network Module
This module allows you to store your intersection names and intelligently view their configurations. This module is invaluable for storing accident and intersection traffic volume data. We have also developed Accident, Traffic Volume, and Signal Management programs that utilize this data.

The Office Module
The Office module contains pavement information that is more than likely tucked away in office filing cabinets. Items such as right-of-way widths, average traffic volumes, special route classifications and existing layer thickness are stored within this module. The Office module provides a great location for logging construction and maintenance histories for each street segment.

The Field Module
The Field module is organized to include information that is typically observed through in-the-field inspections. The Field module displays street segment characteristics such as street name, from and to streets, width, length and surface types. The Field module also includes information on curbs, sidewalks, and driveways along with fields for entering replacement estimates for these features. The backbone of the Field module is its ability to calculate a Pavement Condition Index (PCI). The PCI is determined by the results of a pavement distress inspection. The PCI is calculated through a very simple and repeatable data collection method that quickly analyzes the severity and density of the most general of pavement distresses. The distress nomenclature and rating techniques are based on standards adopted from the SHRP Distress Identification Manual. Each re-inventory can be recorded so that historical field inspections may be built.

Maintenance Forecasting
The heart and soul of GBA Street Master lies within its Maintenance Forecasting module. This module distinguishes the program from a simple database to a database with power. The Maintenance Forecasting module provides numerous user-definable parameters that generate an endless amount of predictive modeling options. The user may manipulate budgets, construction practices, pavement deterioration curves, pavement costs, miscellaneous costs and even the modeling process itself. The results of the comparisons of these models help to define better maintenance practices, annual budgets and provide project scheduling with planning level cost estimates. The Maintenance Forecasting module gives you the power to analyze the database you have spent so much effort in developing.

You can now incorporate construction plans for new pavements and subdivisions and get their annual maintenance costs into your long-term annual budget models. Change the modeling sequence steps however you desire. If you are responsible for multiple facilities, you can assign different pavement costs per facility for more accurate cost estimates.

GBA Accident Master
GBA Accident Master allows you to compile information on state police accident report forms into an easy to use database. The program is ideal for tracking accident records in your area, calculating accident rates, generating collision diagrams and developing pin maps with a GIS.

GBA Sign Master
GBA Sign Master allows you to record and maintain inspections for each sign in your system. Sign Manager's wonderful design enables you to track sign locations by any combination of coordinate values, station/offsets, pole numbers, bar codes, or simply to a segment or intersection name.
