Micro-PLC Control Options

Rockwell Automation provides DF1 half-duplex (slave) capability on a micro-PLC, which makes their line of micro-PLCs compatible with modems, telephone, radio, satellite connections and hard-wired connections. The MicroLogix 1000 family was designed for applications under -32 VO per node, such as lift stations and leachate sites. The smallest model in the family measures a compact 120 x 80 x 40 mm.
A MicroLogix, using its native DF1 communication protocol, allows end users to take advantage of peer-to-peer messaging between controller, program upload/download over the network without taking the telemetry link down, and the ability to mix high-speed local control with distributed I/O. All of the MicroLogix controllers also have DeviceNet connectivity, which gives the user full decentralized control.
