HAWS INTRODUCES MODEL 8123HCTFP DRENCH SHOWER

BERKELEY, Calif.

—(February 7, 2000)—HAWS Corporation, a leading manufacturer of emergency equipment, introduced Model 8123HCTFP to its emergency equipment line. Model 8123HCTFP is a cable heated, freeze resistant horizontal drench shower designed for installation into the wall of a heated area.
Model 8123HCTFP is equipped with a 10 inch ABS plastic showerhead. The shower is activated by a rigid stainless steel pull rod which operates a stay-open chrome-plated brass ball valve that is equipped with a stainless steel stem.
A temperature control thermostat heats the unit to keep temperatures between 57 and 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, a freeze protection bleed valve flushes water through the line when internal water temperatures drop below 35 degrees Fahrenheit and closes at temperatures above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
To maintain these standards, the 8123HCTFP is equipped with a 120V, 60Hz single-phase power supply. At 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the unit draws .7 amps, 80 watts. The entire unit is jacketed with UV-resistant ABS with removable foam insulation. An elastomeric seal provides for additional weather protection. Models in Class 1, Division 2, Group B, C, D are explosion proof.
