Multi-Frequency Locator

Sure-Lock pipe and cable locator is designed to increase locating accuracy and productivity. Consisting of an integrated receiver and transmitter, the system allows users to configure the optimal frequency to best locate all underground utilities.

The locator offers frequencies ranging from 8.1k to 480 kHz. This range, which accommodates audio, radio, and ultra-high frequencies, allows users to easily search for their target conductor under any locating situation. It also has a passive power mode for pinpointing electric primary and secondary cables.

The system is also packed with automated features. Turning on the receiver launches a diagnostic check of the instrument's microcontroller and signal processing circuitry, assuring the technician that the instrument is operating correctly. Estimated continuous depth is continually displayed while locating. Once the technician "levels out" the receiver, calculated depth is automatically displayed without any action from the operator. Multi-jacking allows a technician to locate two different frequencies, inductively and conductively, simultaneously. This helps increase productivity by isolating target conductors and identifying interfering conductors.
