Personnel Work Platform Attachment

The Gradall Company has introduced a new personnel work platform (PWP) attachment for its 534D6-42 material handler model. Gradall, a JLGÒ company, has integrated advanced designs used to produce world-famous JLG aerial work platforms in creating this functional new PWP attachment.

Enabling productive work some 48 feet above ground level, the Gradall PWP attachment is authorized only for use on the model 534D6-42, although the JLGÒcompany plans, in the near future, to approve the attachment for use on other models. The PWP attachment allows the material handler to effectively position workers, tools and materials where they are needed on rough terrain jobsites.

Installed in just seconds using Gradall's unique Quick-Switch boom end coupling, the PWP attachment further extends the existing versatility of the model 534D6-42. Gradall has previously approved a full range of 534D6-42 attachments including a variety of forks, buckets, truss booms, swing masts and other productive attachments, optimizing the capabilities of the machine's 6,000-pound capacity and 42-foot lift height for materials.

The model 534D6-42 is equipped with a hydrostatic drivetrain, four-wheel drive and 90° rear-pivot steering for maneuvering prior to workers occupying the personnel work platform. Workers then are to be placed into position for optimum working efficiency by the material handler operator using the hydraulic joystick control for the rugged three-section boom.
