Usually installed in a car or a truck, the TGP is a device used to capture and process GPS and telemetry information. It can store information in the memory for later retrieval or send it automatically via a wireless link.

This product is composed of a master 68K processor from Motorola, a communication co-processor and a slave processor. The communication co-processor supports the bi-synchronous, asynchronous and HDLC communication protocols. The purpose of the slave processor is to process and filter all digital, analog and pulse input/output. The application supports all standard 68K operating systems (OS or RTOS). A communication port is dedicated to any kind of GPS receiver having a serial link. It can support NMEA 0184 or proprietary protocol. There is also an expansion port for future modifications.

The product is designed to withstand harsh automotive vehicle environment as stated in the SAE J1211. It meets FCC part 15, class A standard, and is protected against incorrect power connection and supply voltage lower than 10 Volts or higher than 18 volts.
