The screenbowl and solid bowl centrifuges are both driven by planetary gear boxes which have input and output shafts for regulating the speed of the conveyor versus the speed of the bowl. The screenbowl is commonly used to extract solid particles from liquid. The solidbowl is often used in the processing of chemicals and food, at paper mills, for drilling reclamation, and at sewage treatment facilities.
