Housed inside a rugged and sealed NEMA 4 enclosure, the HFID Model 3-400 is a compact wall mount heated total hydrocarbon analyzer
J.U.M. Engineering GmbHde a rugged and sealed NEMA 4 enclosure, the HFID Model 3-400 is a compact wall mount heated total hydrocarbon analyzer. This system, designed for high accuracy, sensitivity and stability, incorporates the company's hydrogen flame ionization detector to prevent the loss of high molecular weight hydrocarbons and to provide reliable performance in the analysis of trace level of contaminants in high purity gases, air and other gases.

All sample wetted components are integrated in to the heated oven, which is controlled by a microprocessor temperature controller. The permanent heated sample filter is cleaned by back purging and has a replaceable stainless steel 2µm mesh filter disc. The product features an "overflow"-calibration system for pressureless zero- and span calibration, automatic flame out control with fuel shut-off valve and remote control for sample, calibrate and back purge. Cold spot free coupling of a heated sample line inside the oven is optional. A burner air supply is built in, and no extra bottles for combustion air are needed. The system can be tailored to meet Division 2 Class 1 requirements.

Applications for this system include EPA method 25A compliance monitoring of source hydrocarbons, stack gas hydrocarbon emissions monitoring, hydrocarbon contaimination monitoring in air and other gases, catalytic converter testing, fenceline (perimeter) monitoring, industrial hygiene monitroing, LEL monitor of solvent laden air, and cryogenics/liquefaction.
