Wastewater and Leachate Disposal
The BioStripper Treatment system uses a combination of activated sludge, trickling filtration and forced air stripping to accomplish organic containment reduction
Environmental Systems Corporationpper Treatment system uses a combination of activated sludge, trickling filtration and forced air stripping to accomplish organic containment reduction through biodegradation and volatile organic compound removal. It treats both industrial wastewater and landfill leachate by recirculating them through a biomass cultured in the activated sludge and trickling filtration units. Treated leachate can may be used at the landfill in irrigation and dust control applications or discharged to a water conveyance.

Systems are sized and configured to meet the specific needs of each application. Additional stages can be added to meet sire requirements. Each stage has an aerated base pan, packed tower, tower pump, tower air blower, and control instrumentation. Each tower is filled with 60 ft³ of high surface area to volume ration plastic packing material and has internal sumps that are isolated from base pan liquid by an overflow recirculation spill tube. System control is automatic and is accomplished by a control panel and relays responding to remote switches. The transportable unit is skid-mounted, contains two stages and treats wastewater at flow rates to 3,000 gal/day.
