West Bay Area Boulevard And League City Parkway Road Construction Update

Roadway construction along W. Bay Area Boulevard from League City Parkway to Magnolia Green Way is substantially complete.

W. Bay Area Boulevard has been opened as a four-lane boulevard in this section. Remaining items in this area include the placement of curbs in several locations, some sidewalk and wheelchair ramp work, and work on the median noses at the intersection of W. Bay Area Boulevard and League City Parkway. The construction of the southern half of the roadway along League City Parkway from W. Bay Area Boulevard to Misty Trails Lane is now substantially complete and traffic has been moved from the north side of the road to the south side. Two-way traffic is to be maintained on the south side while a water line is being constructed. The north side of the roadway is being used for staging of the water line and as a construction area. When the water line construction is complete, traffic is to be shifted one final time and League City Parkway will become a four-lane divided roadway. We appreciate the help of the contractor and League City police in working to make the traffic switch safe and successful earlier this week.
