Whole-Tree Chipper

The Mountain Goat Model 50/48 Whole-Tree Chipper was designed for extremely high volume chipping, reduction and disposal of a wide variety of wood waste materials, including whole trees, brush, slash and organic waste. The model is highly productive as a whole tree chipper with the unique ability to process tangled, brushy material such as tops, slash, brush, pallets and demolition debris. Production rates are as high as 100 tons per hour, depending on material.

The drum style chipper with large infeed opening and powerful infeed system make it possible to feed difficult material that no disc-style chipper will handle. The large diameter drum provides abundant flywheel power to chip tough material while using less horsepower than a disc-style chipper. Close positioning of the top feed wheel to the anvil provides constant down pressure on large material as well as fine brush, slash and prunings. The model creates less knife wear than a disc-style chipper and gives contractors extra versatility.
