AWWA Announces Part One Of Storage Tank Webcast Series
On Wednesday, September 22, 2010, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) will host the Sustainable Water Storage Tank Operation & Maintenance webcast. Part one of a two-part series, the webcast's relevant content and knowledgeable speakers will provide water industry professionals an excellent educational opportunity.
Basic water quality within the distribution system can succeed or fail based on the condition and operation of a water storage tank. This webcast will cover the components of an effective water tank condition assessment and then how to develop a comprehensive, sustainable asset management program as a viable option to the traditional tank maintenance procurement methods.
This popular AWWA webcast first aired in 2009, and new information and best practices have been developed to enhance the content.
Webcast presenters include:
- Randy Moore, Vice President Specialty Products & Technical Services, Utility Service Company
- Mark Johnson, PE, Director of Metropolitan Water Operations and Maintenance, Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, Reading, Mass.
