Arnold Hausler joins Vollmer Associates
Arnold S. Hausler has recently been named director of project development and environmental policy at Vollmer Associates, a major national engineering, landscape architecture and planning firm. He will be based in the firm's Albany, NY office.
Hausler's duties will include work in the areas of client relations, planning and project development, governmental coordination and all areas of project related to environmental policy and procedures. He will work closely with federal and state agencies, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), and local municipalities.
Prior to joining Vollmer, Mr. Hausler was senior engineer for New York City with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). He served as the FHWA's program manager for the East River Bridge rehabilitation program and was responsible for managing preparation of environmental impact statements for the Nassau Expressway and Route 9A projects.
Hausler holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Union College and a master of science degree in transportation engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His professional affiliations include the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Transportation Research Board (TRB), American Planning Association (APA), and ITS-NY.
