Erosion Control Composite

Designed to be an environmentally acceptable erosion control material strong enough to provide protection of roadway embankments, drainage ditches and channels, MacMat-R is made with a three-dimensional geomat of polypropylene monofilaments integrated during the manufacturing process with double-twist hexagonal mesh wire. It increases the soils-resistance to erosion by enhancing the growth of vegetation through the mat. The geomat blanket shields the soil slope from the effects of wind and rain, which stops the soil from washing out before vegetation can become established. As the vegetation matures, roots anchor the mat to the soil for added reinforcement.
