Roadway Design Tool

RoadCalc is designed around standard roadway design practices and conventions. This gives users a design module that thinks the way they do, helping to make it comprehensive and easy to use. The Sub-project Manager allows users to analyze multiple design alternatives or design up to 1,000 roads per project. The software now features powerful component-based processing capabilities, giving it more processing power. New features of this updated software include:

•Identify superelevation zones by the station values of "key" superelevation transition zones, or by distances between the "key" locations
•Choose the display direction of increasing profile stationing from right to left, or left to right
•Design pavement sections that do not tie into original ground
•Apply various slope/component cases during processing
•Place typical sections in a central repository or on a network, so that users can share them with team members
•Identify and annotate high and low elevation points within a profile for drainage and clearance detailing
•Set default parameters for plan and profile sheet creation and have those parameters used every time a plan and profile sheet is generated
•Place beam guard (guard rail) symbols into cross-section sheets to help minimize manual drafting requirements
