Biobarrier, featured at the APWA Exposition in Las Vegas, is a long-term root control system that incorporates time-release nodules. When placed in the soil, it is said to prevent structural damage from root encroachment. The main acting ingredient in the solution is trifluralin.
The product can be used for swimming pools, gardens, cemeteries, tennis courts and building foundations. It can be used in septic and drain fields to help prevent pipe damage and clogging caused by roots. The product can be wrapped around drain lines for full root protection or used as a vertical barrier between trees and nearby pipes.
