American Firewear, Inc.

The company manufacturers a variety of safety clothing, predominantly for the fire fighting industry. Gloves, knitted hoods, turnouts, wildland gear, jumpsuits, suspenders, equibags and ladder covers are the major lines. Several high heat Kevlar gloves used in indapplications are also manufactured.

American Firewear was incorporated in the State of Alabama in July, 1990. The first of three manufacturing plants was established in Anniston, Alabama at that time.

The second manufacturing plant, also located in Anniston, was established in 1994 as business expanded beyond the limits of the first building. The second plant also houses a Product Development office for new product designs submitted by customers through the sales organization.

The third plant was established in 1998 to house our clothing lines. The third plant is located in Cave Spring, Georgia, about an hour away from the two Anniston plants.
