The Bassiouni Group Wins Long Term Contract With The UNICEF East Asia And Pacific Region Office (EAPRO)

Firm Signs Major Long Term Agreement (LTA) for Analysis, Evaluation and Documentation Services for East Asia and Asia Pacific Region

New York (PRWEB) - The Bassiouni Group (http://www.bassiounigroup.com), a leading Global Development firm specializing in Advisory, Trade & Investment solutions for emerging/frontier markets, today announced the awarding of a major long term agreement (LTA) with the United Nations Children Fund East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (http://www.unicef.org/eapro), based in Bangkok, Thailand.

EAPRO is one of seven UNICEF Regional Offices working to advance children’s rights in more than 150 countries around the globe. The East Asia and the Pacific region includes around 2 billion people and contains over one-quarter of the world’s children – around 580 million children in total. The agreement between The Bassiouni Group and UNICEF EAPRO entails providing analysis, documentation and evaluation services for a range of projects over a two-year period with a possible extension for another two years in 2018. The Bassiouni Group will manage a team of experts from the United States and will utilize the TBG Global Consultancy Network on an ad hoc basis per each assignment.

“The LTA with UNICEF EAPRO marks an important milestone for The Bassiouni Group as it is not only our first LTA with UNICEF but also our first major region-wide assignment in East Asia and the Pacific,” said David Bassiouni, Managing Director of The Bassiouni Group. “We are honored that The Bassiouni Group has been selected to undertake the important projects that will fall under this LTA and are excited to contribute to UNICEF’s work towards achieving equitable results for children within East Asia and the Pacific.”

The East Asia and Pacific region stretches from Mongolia in the north to Tonga in the south, and from Western China to the Cook Islands. The smallest country in East Asia and the Pacific, Niue, has 1,700 people while the largest, China, has 1.3 billion people. There are around 30 million children born in the region every year. The UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office works with nearly one-third of the world’s children and advocates for the national investment in children and child-centered social justice throughout the region.

As part of the project, The Bassiouni Group’s team will:

  • Document good practices, lessons learned, innovative practices, case studies, and other analysis and/or results-based reports;
  • Promote organizational learning which can lead to adjustments in policy, programmes and operations at global, regional and country office levels;
  • Provide the evidence necessary to support advocacy on key thematic issues in a timely manner;
  • Encourage replication of effective interventions by UNICEF or partners including Governments through South-South cooperation;
  • Strengthen partnerships in general, by demonstrating effective collaboration and/or informed analysis regarding areas of improvement; and,
  • Demonstrate accountability for resources received and protect income and partnerships in general.

The entire project will be overseen by TBG’s Technical Team, which is mobilized to support every project through country intelligence, dedicated research and analysis as well as quality control including the processing and editing of the reports and other documentation. As a partner to consultant teams throughout the duration of every project, the Technical Team ensures optimal outcomes in line with The Bassiouni Group’s quality standards.
