City Of Hollywood, FL Enhances Public Safety With Smart Parking Solutions

We’re proud to announce the City of Hollywood has chosen the Park Assist Solution for a third partnership, equipping its new six-story parking structure, the Garfield Garage, with advanced parking guidance and safety features. The project reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to innovation, while prioritizing the safety and peace of mind of residents and visitors. Currently, the Park Assist Solution, an automated parking guidance system, is already in use in two city-owned parking facilities – the Nebraska Garage and University Station.

A Safer, Smarter Parking Experience
Spanning 426 spaces, this facility’s upgrade will revolve around the M5 smart-sensor, our state-of-the-art, camera-based parking management solution designed to strengthen oversight and streamline parking. By using dual CMOS digital cameras, each sensor monitors up to six spaces at once from its position above the driving lane, delivering HD video coverage on a space-by-space basis. In addition to giving operators real-time awareness of garage activity, the M5 features fully customizable RGB LED lighting that guides drivers to open spaces, designates premium or reserved areas, and helps reduce the time it takes drivers to park by as much as 63%.

“From across the garage, drivers will have clear visibility of the green (available space) and red (spaces not available) lights on the M5, allowing them to quickly locate a green light then an open parking space. This process reduces stress and congestion, while minimizing the risk of low-speed collisions,” said Jeff Sparrow, Director of Sales, North America at TKH Security.

The City’s Park Assist Solution installation will also include:

• Park Surveillance: Designed to enhance facility safety, this feature records HD video whenever motion is detected (or continuously) in and around parking bays. All footage is securely stored for up to 90 days, giving operators an added layer of visibility and protection. Operators can share footage with insurance companies, drivers, or the authorities for faster incident resolution.
• Park Alerts: Based on license plate recognition (LPR) technology, this tool automatically generates notifications for key events, such as vehicles parked in reserved spaces, overstays, or matches to VIP and watchlist profiles, helping staff respond quickly and effectively.
• INX-Core Software Suite: A powerful, cloud-based platform that delivers both real-time monitoring and historical analytics. With actionable insights at their fingertips, operators can improve safety and security while boosting garage efficiency.
