Ellis Corporationed air flotation (DAF) clarifier removes suspended solids as well as fats, oils, greases, and heavy metals. This system uses the principle of recycle pressurization and is said to achieve low BOD and COD. It is available in a range of sizes and models to meet the needs of all types of plants. The compact DAF offers the same gpm/ft2 as larger units in a small footprint.
The system uses a two chamber chemical mixing zone, where each chamber has five minutes of mixing time and its own variable speed mixer. The company uses true dissolved air to generate a high volume of small bubbles. It is manufactured of wetted 304 stainless steel.
