The Model SDC-36 will crush a standard 55-gallon drum to less than 21/2 inches, allowing 14 crushed drums to occupy the same space as one uncrushed drum. The Model SDC-36 is constructed for indoor or outdoor service. Explosion-proof motors and fork pockets under a 2-inch solid-steel floor are standard. Also standard are interchangeable heads that permit the operator to also compact the contents (pails, bag house filters, etc.) inside a 55-gallon drum.
