Flex Cool Roof Systems have a proven track record of delivering energy and environmental benefits to the building owner. Flex White Roofing Systems have exceptional reflectivity and emissivity (heat release) values that lower roof and building temperatures. Reducing overall air conditioning demands by 10 to 15 percent, these systems also provide the building owner with significant energy savings.
Flex White Membranes are shown to reflect up to 87 percent of the sun's rays, resulting in energy savings of up to 50 percent in hot climates and 30 percent in moderate climates. These White Roof Membranes meet or exceed the requirements to qualify for credits under the LEED™ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system. A Flex Cool Roof System may be applicable to LEED categories for sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, and materials and resources.
