GRADALL INTRODUCES NEW XL 3100 EXCAVATOR

Gradall's new XL 3100 hydraulic excavator meets the need for greater productivity and versatility on tight budgets, thanks to a design that uses a single diesel engine to power both the speedy wheeled undercarriage and the powerful telescoping boom upperstructure.

The new XL 3100 replaces Gradall's famous G3WD model excavator, but it takes another giant step forward in the 34,000-pound weight class with high-pressure load-sensing hyradulics, automatically adjusting for the job at hand. Available with a 4 x 4 or 4 x 2 undercarriage, the XL 3100 can be driven at highway speeds, eliminating the need for a lowboy trailer. With just one engine, the XL 3100 is ideal for tight equipment budgets. Not only is the initial purchase price lower, the single engine dramatically reduces fuel and maintenance costs.

The XL 3100 also features Gradall's famous boom movements -- up, down, side to side and the 180 rotation allowing it to do excavating, demolishing, sloping and grading. A full range of attachments is fast and easy to change. The machine can be repositioned from the upper cab, saving time and increasing productivity. The new low profile rear end and counter weight increase operator visibility of the job site and maintain a minimal requirement for rear swing. The XL 3100 also has the new Gradall red and gray paint scheme and a host of advantages designed for operator comfort, visibility and fatigue reduction.
