J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers

J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers, a division of Somerset Welding & Steel, was first established in 1958 and began by building steel dump bodies for coal haulers and farmers - the backbone of the local economy at the time. As the economy of the area changed, so did the needs of customers. To answer this need, J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers expanded and diversified its product line, introducing the DynaHauler® series. These precision-engineered truck bodies are built to satisfy the demanding requirements of the most rugged and varied applications. The extensive line of DynaHauler® products includes dumps for the light duty chassis or heavy-duty trailers for rock hauling or demolition and excavation work.

In the early 1980s, J&J began manufacturing transfer trailers at the South Center Avenue trailer facility for solid waste, agricultural, and municipal applications. They manufacture compaction, live floor, tipper, steel lightweight, and push out trailers for commercial and municipause. These trailers come with many ready-to-work specifications and options that are designed to give customers a dependable and easy-to-use product. These aluminum and steel dump trailers are designed and built per customer requirements and are used in a variety of applications.

For over 40 years, J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers, has been building a wide range of standard and specialty truck bodies and trailers. Employing 260 people in three facilities totaling 160,000 square feet of manufacturing space, J&J is located in Somerset, Pennsylvania, approximately 65 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA at Exit 10 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
