MACTEC Awarded Testing And Inspection Contract From San Diego Unified Port District
According to MACTEC San Diego Office Manager Steve Brinigar, the firm_s services will be in direct support of the Port District's quality assurance program for its Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects. These include several heavy industrial paving projects, various parking structures, seawalls and a wharf extension. MACTEC will provide special inspection and perform materials testing in its San Diego laboratory for concrete, steel, masonry, aggregates, and asphalt.
According to MACTEC Senior Materials Engineer David Wilson, the firm is currently completing quality assurance services for the District's new General Services Facility. John Hutalla is the laboratory manager responsible for overseeing all materials testing requirements.
