MACTEC Ranked Among Top Design Firms By Southeast Construction

Alpharetta, GA – MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C; www.mactec.com) has been ranked as one of the top Southeast design firms by Southeast Construction. Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company (www.mactec.com) - made the announcement.

MACTEC was ranked third among 75 firms in the annual design survey, which includes companies from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The Top Design ranking is based on each firm's 2002 billings figures for projects performed in the region. MACTEC's regional revenues were $110.7 million. Specialty categories included environmental, general building, manufacturing/industrial, transportation, water/sewage, and telecom.

Southeast Construction also reported that the collective value of regional billings climbed to almost $1.5 billion – more than four times last year's collective value.
