MACTEC Wins Environmental Consulting Services Contract

Gainesville, FL — MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C) has been selected by Alachua County, FL to provide a wide variety of environmental consulting services. Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company - made the announcement.

Alachua County, population 216,000 is located in North Central Florida. The county government seat is in Gainesville.

According to MACTEC Gainesville Office Manager Mark C. Diblin, P.G., the firm will be providing comprehensive environmental consulting, planning, engineering and geohydrological support services on a task assignment basis. These will support the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department (ACEPD) and county regulatory, environmental planning, land conservation, environmental monitoring programs and special projects.

"We look forward to working with Alachua County as MACTEC has expertise in a number of disciplines that are needed by the county," Diblin said. "Some of these include air quality monitoring and air pollution control technologies, water quality monitoring and wastewater treatment technologies, environmental assessments and environmental sampling."
