John Crane Series of seals using interchangeable seal designs with standardized hardware, the 5620PR O-Ring Universal Cartridge Double Cartridge Seal features a double seal arrangement that incorporates an elastomer O-ring as the dynamic secondary sealing member. The seal faces' reverse balance design allows for ID or OD pressurization, permitting this dual seal to operate with a high or low pressure seal water support system. The internal pumping ring forces the seal water through the seal ensuring maximum heat removal for cool operation and long seal life. The seal can be used with the company's pressure reservoir system to eliminate continuous seal water usage.
