Operations Module

Powerware Solutions, Inc.tilities with the information and tools to generate operational plans, the operations module is an energy and water quality management system. It is designed to satisfy consumer water demands and ensure acceptable water quality. The system can predict the behavior of several aspects of the water distribution system including water demand, hydraulic operation and water quality.

The product features a resource modeler to compute system operating costs under a variety of plans, operations scheduler to generate optimal operating plans, scheduler optimizer, and a hydraulic modeler to predict how the distribution system will respond to a specific plan. A demand forecaster creates an hourly prediction of future water demand for each pressure zone and a quality forecaster shows the anticipated network water quality associated with real-time operating schedules. A user interface is incorporated to organize the system data, as is a SCADA interface is constructed to communicate directly with the utility's particular SCADA system. A repository is included to store all the system's information, and a report generator can retrieve data for a variety of reports regarding historical characteristics or operation of the distribution system.
