PB Farradyne Inc. names new president

Lawrence Yermack has been named president of PB Farradyne Inc., the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) subsidiary of Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB), an international engineering, planning and construction management organization.

In his new position, Yermack will be responsible for managing PB Farradyne's day-to-day operations, including finance, marketing and technical disciplines. He previously served as PB's national director of toll facilities planning and design services.

Yermack has more than 30 years of professional experience, with extensive expertise in ITS and the financial and program management of electronic toll collection systems. Prior to joining PB in 1994, he served as chief financial officer of New York's Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. He also served as first deputy commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation.

He currently serves on the executive committee of ITS America's board of directors and as chairman of the organization's blue-ribbon panel on electronic commerce. He is a leader in the development of ETTM national standards and toll system interoperability.

Yermack holds an M.B.A. degree in finance from Columbia University and a B.A. in economics from City College of New York.
